We were up at around 8 and had brekky about 9 (as normal!).
It’s much colder today and windier. Initially the temperature was 16°C – brrrr!
We went exploring in the car again. Initially we headed for ‘Trèbe’ – another ‘one-horse-town’ (where the horse was away on holiday!). What we did notice was, that it’s a stop-over for narrow-boats.
So, back in the car again heading for ‘Minerve’- a steep drive there with a stunning view – but that was about it. We couldn’t find anywhere for coffee, so after a quick look round, we headed back to the car.
Then onto Lézignan Corbières – but that looked a bit boring, so we stayed in the car and drove onto ‘Lagrasse’ for lunch at a small restaurant. Ann had pasta and rosé wine, I had a croque-monsieur and a beer. We then looked round the wonderfully preserved Abbey – ‘Abbaye Sainte Marie Orbieu’.
Ann drove back on a long-and-twisty road and it seemed to take forever, but at least it was dry and we only met two vehicles coming the other way! We got in about 3.15, synched diaries for the rest of the year, got packed and prepared for our last ‘blow-out’ meal in the restaurant! 🙂
Last day tomorrow – we fly at 4.15 pm.

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
