The Northants Nutters got together today for a celebration at the ever-reliable The Olde Victoria in Burton Latimer.

Fellow Nutter, Sue, had her birthday coming up in a few weeks, and it was therefore the perfect opportunity to get together, given that we haven’t seen each other since the Nutter’s Christmas ‘Do’ last year.
Before the celebratory meal, we also planned to discuss our plans for the Nutters’ Christmas Break later this year. Forty-five minutes later, it was almost ‘mission accomplished’ as we’d now successfully booked our tickets for the famous Thursford Christmas Spectacular (just!) and as we headed for our 1pm table we only had the evening meal rota, the shopping list, and after-dinner games to agree on.

The food was as good as we remembered – and it gave us our first opportunity to sample their new Menu, which had only recently been introduced. We kicked off with Olives (for those of us who love them) plus a bottle of red between Geoff, Paul and me.

Being big Burger fans, Ann and I tried out their new 6-ounce Aberdeen Angus option. Delicious! 😋😋 (where there was a wide range of accompaniments on offer too! – a Cheese slice for me, melted cheese plus bacon for Mrs P).

Yummy Dessert choices too!

Dessert really hit the spot! I hadn’t been able to decide between the Cheesecake or the Raspberry Roulade – Nicki too! – so we shared! 👍
It had been great to catch up today, where the Olde Vic was the ideal venue. Thanks for treating us Sue, it was good to celebrate your special day in style (and in advance!) 👍😍. The Nutters re-assemble again in December for our big Christmas Break in Norfolk.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
