Satisfying Saturday

It’s one of those weekends where a lot of good things happened on the same day.

The day started well with possibly the hottest day of the year so far. Papers were saying we were hotter than Barbados! Maybe… it was only 26 degrees here!

The cats went in for their regular wash-and-blow-dry and whilst they were away being sorted, Ann and I started on the back garden. It was almost too hot to work out there – and we don’t say that too often. The buddleia took a beating, but it looks better for it!!! In fact, we all did a good job out there, and it looks soooo much tidier!

Lee arrived and joined in the gardening fun. Then, it was off to pick up the cats – lighter, less hairy and smelling like they’d been drinking and bathing in Lenor!

After our efforts in the garden, we settled down for a night of TV. For me, it was as close to perfect as you can get. Strictly then the series finale of Doctor Who and then the first of the new series of Merlin. Add to that, a rather tasty curry with all the bits, and it doesn’t get much better than that!!!
