Meal with David and Val

We ate-in tonight, round at David and Val’s. Val made shepherd’s pie and Ann supplied the puddings.

We also watched Sherlock Holmes on DVD. Initially, I thought that the DVD contained a NON Blu-Ray version too (so we could play it on David’s player), but no such luck. So, it was back round to ours!

I had real reservations about this film. The combination of Guy Ritchie directing, Robert Downey Jnr and Jude Law starring, didn’t fill me with confidence – it certainly didn’t sound like the ‘dream team’. What a surprise! It was very ‘jolly’ and certainly kept us engaged throughout. I sense a sequel, maybe even a franchise of films. Nice one!!!
