No S***

BBC’s Sherlock was the most watched programme on Sunday – around 7.3 million viewers. That’s pretty respectable and if they don’t commission another series, I’ll eat my deerstalker!   https://www.youtube.com/v/cSQq_bC5kIw&hl=en_GB&fs=1?color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1&hl=en“;” src=”https://lh6.ggpht.com/_xEp-Etxr6ic/TGDjiBSR1CI/AAAAAAAAFS0/BfF0uInpsZU/video1fcb7c4a656b%5B3%5D.jpg?imgmax=800″ style=”border-style: none;” TV ratings: Sherlock ends with 7.3m viewers (guardian.co.uk) The mysterious case of the unknown Moriarty: how Sherlock Holmes will reveal all (guardian.co.uk) …

Camera Lens

Excellent! – My new 45-200 zoom lens turned up today courtesy of Amazon. 45-200 in digital terms makes it a 90-400 in ‘normal’ camera lingo – that’s l-o-n-g!For its zoom capability, it’s incredibly small, and I’m going to use the next few days whilst I’m at home to test it out.

Wilf!

We popped down to Jo and Janet’s primarily to wish Jan a happy birthday. That’s when we ran into their two gorgeous kittens – ‘Wilf’ and ‘Oscar’. What a couple of sweeties (in spite of them both using my leg as a climbing frame! – ouch!!!) Wilf

The Final Touch

We popped down to Lee’s to put up the picture she’s been waiting for. It had been on order, but out of stock at Laura Ashley‘s. But luckily, Ann spotted it in the local Laura Ashley last week and snapped it up.  Good job she she did, because it’s now discontinued!!

5ive go mad in London

Well, maybe not quite! I set off for London around 2ish and got into town around 3.30. After a quick walk to the Circle Line, I was soon at the Embankment, heading across Jubilee Bridge, heading for the South Bank. It was hot muggy day and perhaps as expected, the place was very busy with …

Long Weekend Away – Day 3: Final day, shopping

For our final day in Chester, we took a drive to Cheshire Oaks, a massive out-of-town designer shopping outlet about 15 minutes from the hotel. It’s massive – certainly the biggest we’ve ever visited. Ann thinks it’s the largest in Europe. Literally hundreds of shops and even some more outlets at the Coliseum just down …
