Today was dubbed ‘Super Saturday‘. It was the first day with the slightly relaxed lockdown in force, where some (not all) businesses were now allowed to re-open, trying their very best to make up for their lost trade over the past three months. Examples included Pubs and Hairdressers who were allowed to trade from one-minute past midnight. Social distancing rules had also been relaxed from two metres to one metre… or as it’s been officially labelled: “one metre PLUS“. I interpret this as ‘be careful‘, whilst others might use the relaxation as “back to (old) normal”
The police were geared-up too, with one report suggesting that there were more rozzers on duty today/tonight than a typical New Year’s Eve!
OK, let the chaos and uncertainty begin, as we now have hairdressers in masks and no queuing allowed at the Bar in Pubs! But at least everyone’s hair will look nice – and if it doesn’t, then we’ll all be too p****d to care! 🥴
EDIT: Sunday Morning
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
