Family get-together

We almost had everyone – Bev couldn’t make it because she was working, and Mum’s health is suffering at the moment and so she fancy the journey.

Ann and Lee drove over the Waitrose to pick-up the food, whilst I finished tidying-up the house!

So just Mae, Denis, Roger, Jane and Oliver arrived for lunch today. It went really well; Oliver was his normal energetic self and worer everyone else out! 🙂 But he was gob-smacked when Ann showed him the birthday cake we’d picked up for him!

Food-wise, we decided to go for a hot and cold buffet which seemed to work really well – less washing-up too! 🙂

Mae brought one her legendary home-made Christmas puddings with her – one that had been marinating for about 12 months – as well as a gargantuan trifle.

Great food all round then..and we were all completely stuffed!

Everyone left about 3.30 which gave us time to clear-up and for Ann to do some work-related stuff for the coming week.
