I travelled down to the School today for the AGM (and dropped in to see Mum on the way through). The School closed in July and we’re now in residence in the gym at the BRIT School next door. At least they had painted it since we had the Reunion there earlier this year – nice job!
We were slightly down on numbers this year, but apparently that’s down to the impending half-term. I’m not sure I understand the logic of that but something kept them away. Around 50 attended – 15 fewer than last year.
Bernard finally retired (to be replaced by Donald) after 400 years on the Committee. He looked relieved – but only momentarily, because he was then nominated to re-join as a vice-president!!
It all finished around 2.15 and I was home by 5.30.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
