Over the past few years, as many of you already know, I’ve developed a liking for the occasional* G & T.
Thanks to my good friend Jo, who introduced me to the delights of ‘the berry’ a few years back, I’ve started to accrue quite a collection. Word had obviously got around as many of my birthday pressies this year were of the ‘gin persuasion’!
Trouble is, even though there’s only three of us (even if I include our cat, Biscuit – who’s more a Dreamies fan) we’re running out of storage space – and if you’ve seen our Garage, unlike a lot of our more organised friends, there’s no room there either!
*It’s a subjective statement!
Time then, for a radical rethink of current storage around the house. Luckily, with a bit of reorganisation of the kitchen cupboards, we freed-up some space, and the current drinks cabinet in the lounge has now been re-assigned ‘The Gin Palace’ – literally for Gin only!
So, first a bit of a clear-out and then a dust…
…and then the best part of all – the re-stocking!

Next time you’re with us, and if you’re a gin-fan, sit near the window and it’ll give you the shortest route to the Palace! We’ve roughly a 50/50 mix between the traditional (Hendrick’s, Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray etc.) and those new fangled fruit-based types (Strawberry, Damson, Raspberry etc.) totalling around 25 variations!
Yummy!

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
