Over the past few years, as many of you already know, I’ve developed a liking for the occasional* G & T. Thanks to my good friend Jo, who introduced me to the delights of ‘the berry’ a few years back, I’ve started to accrue quite a collection. Word had obviously got around as many of my birthday pressys this year were of the ‘gin persuasion’!
Trouble is, even though there’s only three of us (even if I include our cat, Biscuit – who’s more a Dreamies fan) we’re running out of storage space – and if you’ve seen our Garage, unlike a lot of our more organised friends, there’s no room there either!
*It’s a subjective statement!
Time then, for a radical rethink of current storage around the house. Luckily, with a bit of reorganisation of the kitchen cupboards, we freed-up some space, and the current drinks cabinet in the lounge has now been re-assigned ‘The Gin Palace’ – literally for Gin only!
So, first a bit of a clear-cut and a dust…
…and then the best part of all – the re-stocking!
Next time you’re with us, and if you’re a gin-fan, sit near the window and it’ll give you the shortest route to the Palace! We’ve roughly a 50/50 mix between the traditional (Hendrick’s, Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray etc.) and those new fangled fruit-based types (Strawberry, Damson, Raspberry etc.) totalling around 25 variations!
