Crikey, I can’t believe we’re now 200 days into the pandemic! When I wrote about this after (just!) 100 days, I don’t think anyone imagined we’d still be trying to cope with the reality of the coronavirus nearly 7 months on!!
In fact, as I type, it looks like things are going to get worse before they get better (again!) as the ‘second spike’ takes hold. The reality is that those testing positive are rising, deaths are on the increase, so are admissions to hospitals, businesses are failing and most people’s social-life is in tatters. 😥
I can’t recall the last time I shook hands or hugged someone – as a result, I’m now well versed in the infamous ‘elbow bump’. We’ve been lucky in that we just squeezed in a holiday to Scotland before they tightened things up), but like most people, every other holiday abroad that was planned, has now been cancelled or rescheduled. Not surprisingly, future getaways look like they’re all going to be UK-based (and there’s nothing wrong with that!)
It won’t be Scotland again though – not in the immediate future – as I just heard they’re about to be locked-down even more than England for the next fortnight (that’s THREE weekends!). 😕
See you in another 100 days! 🙄
