Reading time: < 1 minute...Ann, Nicki and I met up with Jo, Janet and Carol at The Crown Hotel in Stamford for one of their mega-breakfasts before spending the rest of the day at Burghley House.
Predictably, I opted for the Crown Breakfast. Yummy!
Then it was off to the House, just as the sun came out, so for the external photos, it was a great opportunity to test out Ann’s new camera – her Nikon P600.
I’m not sure where the day went, but after looking round the House, then the Gardens, then finally the Garden of Surprises we didn’t get home until 3.45! Phew! A great day-out with some great friends!!

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff.
