We met up with Ian and Sharon as planned, to become ‘tourists for the day’.
Drove down to Arundel Castle and stopped for a drink at ‘The Black Rabbit’ (just down the road). It was frantically busy and the queue for ordering lunch was 30 people deep! We decided just have a drink and skip the lunch queue We spent the rest of the afternoon looking around the town and had a light-bite at a local café.
We dropped Ian and Sharon off around 3.30 and headed back into Worthing town to try and find the fabric for the dining-room chairs in the two fabric shops we discovered yesterday. No luck; but it did give us the opportunity to grab a ‘Mr Whippy’ ice-cream for the walk back.
Just time for a change of clothes and ‘feet-up’ as Ian and Sharon are picking us up at 6.30 – we’re all going to try ‘The World’s End’ pub/restaurant tonight – it comes highly recommended! Excellent food all around!
9.30pm – time for bed!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
