We drove over to Roy and Susan’s in Ramsey, for the weekend. We arrived around 3 o’clock after a pretty straightforward run. It was a great opportunity to try out the TomTom Sat Nav ..and I’m pleased to say it worked fine (after a spot of bother locating the satellite).
Lauren and Janine are certainly growing up. Lauren is into horses and had been out riding just before we arrived. Janine was out with her squeeze, John, the tallest, widest 20 year-old I think I’ve ever met!!!
In between, Roy, Susan, Ann and I took a short drive to where they keep Lauren’s horse and once there we went for a walk with their two dogs. We all noticed how the evening was lighter for longer and saw a wonderful sunset!
We had taken our DVD of the holiday photos with us – its first outing! And although some of the edits need tightening up, everyone thought it was great!!
We all enjoyed a sit-down family meal – Susan had prepared: mushrooms for starters, Salmon en-croute for mains and a fruit meringue for afters.
Lauren stayed in whilst Janine and John went to a local beach party.
Since we last saw Roy and Susan they’d bought the same plasma TV as us. Roy couldn’t get the Sky remote to work with it…and nor could I. (However, by Sunday breakfast time, I’d cracked it!)
We finished off the evening by watching Forrest Gump on the TV upstairs with the dogs on our lap – very domesticated!
We finally crashed out around 11ish.
We’re off after breakfast tomorrow…

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
