Well, it’s been a difficult few months trying to decide what car to have next.
Initially, I thought I might get a Volvo. They were especially attractive given the discount offered to Suppliers like me. However, after testing their top-end diesel – the D5 – I was left disappointed, mainly due to the noisiness of the engine.
In the last week or so, I’ve investigated the Ford Mondeo range. It’s had many good write-ups in the Press. Having test-driven the 2 litre diesel automatic, I can see why. I was very impressed with the smoothness of the engine and the overall performance of the car. I drove the Zetec variant and found the trim level to be a bit basic – especially compared to the s-type Jaguar, my current car.
Money-wise it could be affordable, but only if we move the car INSIDE the business. So, in the next few days, Nick, my Accountant will be looking at the options.

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
