I’ve been in Sweden most of this week. I stayed at the snappily titled ‘Hotel Quality 11’ and it was grat in all respects. Nice view from the restaurant window too!!
Lunch with Roger, Jane and Oliver
We woke up to snow today – in April? – But it wasn’t much, just a dusting… About mid-morning, we set of R, J and O’s for lunch. Unusually we’re went out to the local pub – ‘The Sow and Pigs’. The pub was very busy, but Roger is obviously well-known there! The meal was …

Clock this!
It’s been a wintry day here today, such a change from the last three days where it’s been quite warm. We thought we’d ignore the weather and so we finally got around to putting up the clock on the side of the house. We’ve had it for months, but the weather had been so bad …

Car Update
Today’s the day when they begin building my Mondeo. If all goes smoothly, it should be about three weeks before I can take it home!
Curry and Cats…
I took the cats in for their six-weekly wash and brushup. Actually, it’s been longer than six and their coats were getting quite knotty. Ann picked them up in the afternoon – they looked great! Jo and Janet came up to us tonight for a curry evening. We had a great time catching-up on this-and-that. …

Ashes to Ashes – Final Episode, Series 1
Well, the first series ended tonight. It’s too early to get any figures on how many watched it, but I guess it’ll be high – see below for an update on audience figures. It was a bit of anti-climax given that most of the papers had disclosed that a second series had been commissioned – …

Easter Holiday – Day 3

Easter Holiday – Day 2
Wow! We both had a really good night’s sleep. We woke late – 7am. There had been a light dusting of snow overnight, but nothing too serious. We headed down for breakfast. I went for the ‘full-English’ (or should that be full-Welsh?). The weather forecast is ‘sunny’, so we took a drive to Llandudno along …

Wall hanging – Ann’s Office
Finally, we located a suitable wall-hanging for the Office downstairs – we think it looks great! After many shopping trips we finally tracked this down on the ‘net. It was reasonably proced and a breeze to hang.
New Car – Official!
I heard today that Ford have allocated a chassis number for my car. Apparently, that’s a good sign and roughly speaking, the car should be with me in around three weeks! 🙂
Lee and Bertie return home
Lee and Bertie returned home today. They were all packed by 10am, and it’s fair to say that their car was ‘fully loaded’! We heard from them in the afternoon – around 2ish, so they’d had a good run back and managed to stop off in Tesco’s along the way. The house feels strangely empty …

David and Val round for Lee and Bertie’s final meal
The tile sounds quite dramatic, but that’s not what was intended! 🙂 Lee and Bertie return to their caravan home on Sunday and we thought it would be nice to have David and Val round to dinner, so they could say good-bye (until January 2009). We decided to keep the food simple – It’s Friday …

Bye-bye Jaguar s-type (Well almost!)/Replacement XDA/Spoiler Alert!
This time yesterday, I learned that if I was going to get the full market value for the Jaguar, then I’d have to sell it. That was quite a shock as I thought Jaguar Finance would handle the equity related to the payments. Today, Kevin from Sytner came round and bought the car on behalf …
