For a while now, having tried to swing a cat in the shower room – we found we couldn’t! – either we (or the cats) are getting larger or the room is shrinking, whatever is it, there just doesn’t seem to be enough room in there anymore. Add to that, the fact that it never seems to dry out properly, it was time to do something drastic.
Our plan is to convert it into a Wet-Room and to replace the rather over-sized sink and loo with something a little more compact. We then just need to source all the bits – and psyche up the cats for one last swing!
Ralph, our good friend has agreed to do all the hard work – all we need to do is to design the thing and buy all the bits.
So, we trundled off to the local Wickes’ today and then onto BathStore in Northampton. Wickes’ had some good stuff, but Bathstore was better both in terms of range and size of appliances. So we chosen most of the big bits and we just need to double-check sizes. Next job is to choose the tiles (a big decision), sort out the lighting, and choose the cabinet or cabinets!
The final job will be to convince the cats to participate one last time, when the job is completed!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
