£1-a-Day (2018) – How Did We Do?

Reading time: < 1 minute...

Well, that’s it, I’m done for 2018’s Challenge! David, Paul and I have now survived this year’s challenge of living on a £1 a day each, for food and drink, for seven days.
It’s 5.30am on the 8th (the day after this year’s campaign ended) and as I write this Blog, the donations stand at an impressive £1072 (plus £188.75 Gift Aid). We set a target of £1500, so although we didn’t quite hit the figure we set, and even when you take away JG’s 5% commission, it’s none too shabby!

We even had change! All 6p of it!
6p left!
The costings were as follows…

We’ve decided to keep our JustGiving website open for another month (until the 7th November) to catch those who missed all the excitement first time round, due to holidays and other reasons.

As a bonus to all of this, I also lost a few pounds in weight too! I started off at 14st exactly on Day 1, and by the last day I’d dropped to 13st 10lbs!

Thanks again everyone – you’ve been super-generous.

News-Flash! 2pm Friday, 12th October
What a very pleasant surprise! An anonymous donation and a donation from Denis, pushed us over our target!
Smile
