I popped over to Oundle to meet up with Steve. We’d previously met just before Christmas, when, amongst other things, Steve was making plans for being father-of-the-bride for his daughter, Kelly,on Easter Saturday. I’ve lent him some books on speeches!
We walked to The Ship, as normal, and as part of my giving-it-up-for-Lent thingy, I avoided the chips for lunch – I had the chilli instead – and avoided the side-order of cheese too!
There were roadworks on the A605 on the journey over there, resulting in 2-3 miles of tailbacks each way. I didn’t want to risk whether they’d still be there on the way home, so I came via the back roads – and it seemed to take less time!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff.
