Reading time: < 1 minute...Had a lie-in until 7ish this morning!
We heard from Guest Relations that our luggage WASN’T found and put on the next plane to Milan. Bugger! This means we set sail without any luggage at all.
The Ship’s ‘Plan B’ is to continue to search for the luggage at Milan and then have it sent to our next Port. They’ve already said that they won’t send it to Croatia (even if they do find it), so the next opportunity will be Tuesday as we’re out at sea on Monday.
We’ve realised that in addition to the massive inconvenience of no luggage, one of the suitcases contains all my big birthday pressys!
..so, if the bags DO turn up on Tuesday, it’ll be timely, as it’s my Birthday!
So, today we’re off to ‘Hvar’ the ‘sunniest island in the Adriatic’ and hopefully it’s the island that has some serious shops so we can begin to restock our toiletries.
Hvar was very pretty. Venetian-style architecture, narrow streets and a supermarket – Perfect, as it allowed us to stock-up on some of the missing toiletries. No 60Gb iPODs though!
Returned to the ship for a quick lunch and then off to the ship’s cinema to see ‘Syriana’ starring George Clooney.
Then it was a snooze in the sun, afternoon tea and getting ready for the evening meal.
..a tough life!
All at sea tomorrow, so it’s likely that they’ll be no blog.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
