After our early morning call at 5.47 (the hotel’s fire klaxon went off!), we couldn’t get back off to sleep afterwards, so we were up earlier than planned. The highlight of the day is going to be our visit to the Royal Opera House to see Madame Madama Butterfly at the Royal …

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 - well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I'm no Samuel Pepys! If you're looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you've arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it's all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
Long Weekend in London – Friday
A quick look out the window and it looks like a gorgeous day ahead. After last night’s stuffing, Ann skipped breakfast, but we three decided to try the hotel’s offerings. It was most impressive – everything you could possibly want on an ‘all-you-can-eat’ basis. Top marks for quality and quantity! After brekky, the girls went …

Moving from WinMo to Android
After a lifetime with Windows Mobile (WM) devices and phones, I took the decision today to finally ‘jump ship’ and move to the Android operating system. Kettering Council did a good job in finding Lee a new place. Today, she officially moves in, having picked up the keys a few days back. It’s a lovely little apartment and in very good condition. Add to that, a lively community and it being only a short walk to the shops, then it’s pretty …
