Nick and Celina left after breakfast; we had a quick clear-up and then headed up the A1 to Downtown. It was another gorgeous day here – just like yesterday – and it seemed to keep the roads pretty empty, so we were there in no time.
It’s Mae’s 65th today and we met there because it’s about half-way between them and us but primarily to hand over her birthday presents. We did a little browsing before hand and bang-on-time at 12.30 we saw them heading towards the restaurant area. We had a good natter over a lengthy, lazy lunch and after saying our good-byes headed to the large Garden Centre to primarily look at the petrol strimmers.
We had a good journey back and were indoors by 3.15. We plan to take it easy for the rest of the day! We put a wash on, emptied the dishwasher, snoozed for a bit and then caught up with the TV we’d missed over the weekend.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
