In yesterday’s post entitled, ‘Snow Go’ I may have mistakenly given the impression that the snow was on its way out.
At a round 4pm today, the snow returned – a little at first, then it got heavier and heavier. By the time I got to the station to pick-up Ann around 6pm, the whole area was covered. It wasn’t particularly deep but it was causing absolute chaos on the roads.
We came home via Deeble Road to avoid the road-works near Wicksteed Park. The car in front was all over the place with its front wheels spinning like crazy! I slipped the car into manual and kept it in third gear all the way home – perfect…no slipping, no sliding and no skidding (phew!). I couldn’t reverse the car into the garage – I just couldn’t get enough grip, but I did manage to get it in frontwards – well, at least it’s out of the snow!
Bugger!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
