We met up with Jo and Janet and headed off to Mazza’s. We haven’t been there since May 2008 – we’ve missed their excellent curries!
When we arrived around 7.30, the place was moderately busy. By 8.30 the place was heaving! If there is a recession on, then someone forgot to tell the good folk of Kettering! At one point, all the tables were taken and there was a queue of around 20 people waiting.
Although the food was (as normal) excellent, the service levels took a massive hit. We waited ages between courses; it took us three attempts to get our drinks refilled and the waiters looked under pressure all evening!
When we eventually managed to get the bill (two attempts), they had tried to charge us twice for our drinks .
All-in-all a good evening… but not a great one – marred by the poor service. Having said all that, we’ll certainly be going back!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
