Pig and Waffle? No, not the opening paragraph on my LinkedIn profile, but the name of one of our many nearby eateries!

The Pig and Waffle is in Grafton Underwood, and only a 15-minute drive away. We booked a lunchtime table with long-time friends and neighbours Paul & Karen on what was the hottest day of the year so far – a barmy 23 degrees according to the car’s thermometer. Scorchio! 🥵
I haven’t been here since my birthday back in 2024, and it was good to be back. The P&W is one of those ‘small-but-punches-well-above-its-weight-establishments‘, and I was looking forward to exploring their menu. It was also great to be able to take advantage of the very Summery weather – and actually eat outside. At one point, I was thinking, ‘this is too hot!’ – but I managed! 😉

It was the perfect weather for… Tapas! So we did!! 👍… Oh, and CIDER!!! 😋

And the food (as well as the weather) didn’t disappoint! What a perfect way to spend a Friday lunchtime! Great friends, great food and great weather 🙂
Now there was only one thing left on the to-do list – an afternoon snooze! 😴💤😴💤

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
