A first visit today to The Fancott Arms in err, Fancott, Toddington

It was time for a catch-up again with longtime mate, Angela C. The location was about halfway between us, and made a pleasant change to our usual haunt of The Bistro just up the road in ‘old’ Toddington.

It was less about the beer and more about the food offer, as this was one of our rare get togethers face to face, having spent most of our year communicating via the infamous Zoom and by telephone! 👍

After grabbing a drink in the very ‘old school’ Bar, we were shown to the dining area. Yikes, we weren’t expecting that! It was massive! And it began to fill up as soon as we were seated. Surely a good sign, especially as it was only Monday! 👍
We had plenty of time to catch up with each other’s news – in fact, we were so busy talking, we skipped dessert and finished with just a coffee.
The food and service didn’t disappoint, and consequently, the Pub is now on our ‘must go back’ list. Our long Lunch gave way to a smooth journey home, and I was indoors by 4pm
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
