We met up with Ralph and Karen for lunch. It was good to catch up with them both – it feels like we haven’t seen them for ages. They were heading back from Matlock, so we arranged to meet at The Chequers in Swinford for lunch. The food was good (We both had the Steak and Ale Pie – Karen had Gammon and Ralph had the steak), but the service was a bit shoddy. Firstly they got their wines muddled and served Ann and Karen with WHITE instead of RED; then they forgot to cook enough peas; asked us if we’d finished when Karen was still eating; then forgot to ask us if we wanted a dessert!
We popped into Tesco’s on the way back to see how their extension is going. The shop looked OK but the whole area looked like a bomb-site

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s!
