It was a welcome return to The Mandarin Buffet in Weston Favell today. The reason? The semi-regular get-together of ex-Sainsbury Trainer-types: Geoff, Paul and me with respective ‘other halves’ – Rhonda, Sue and Ann.
This is surely the cheapest/best value place to eat in Northamptonshire – £8.99 for an all-you-can-eat buffet. As expected then, there was a queue when we arrived at 11.45, and once inside, it went from almost empty to completely full in less than an hour!!
The verdict? Great food, far too much of it! where the surrounding ‘chattering classes’ would have rivalled a practising football crowd!
Having not been here for quite a while, we’re back here again on Saturday, for a surprise 70th Birthday Party! So, this is NOT a good week to watch the waistline!!!

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
