I travelled down to London this afternoon, catching the 4.30 out of Kettering. It was a beautifully warm day and I travelled light – not even a coat!
My destination was Cote in Charlotte Street where I met up with Angela, Philip, June and Antoinette. We had lots to catch-up with, and the time just whizzed by. Even though we were there quite early – 6pm, the next time I looked at my watch, it was 8.25 – and time to leave, if I was to get to St Pancras in time for my train at 9pm.
So, having said my goodbyes, I emerged into the warm night air (lovely!) and headed for Goodge Street tube and got to St P with about 5 minutes to spare – Phew! (note to self: book a later train next time!).
The food and service at the restaurant was brilliant and it was good to see the gang – but the time just went too quickly! Ann was there on time to pick me up at Kettering station, and we were sipping hot milk by 10.30 (such exciting lives!)
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
