It’s ‘cultural Saturday’ here(nothing wrong with that!). Lee stayed over and the three of us headed into town to see Brass for Africa 3 – a rather excellent concert of brass band music and singing. In spite of the atrocious weather, the event, at Kettering Citadel, was very well supported with standing room only. What made it extra special for us was that Thomas Fountain was playing – he was the guy who played at our Wedding too! The yoof were well-catered for too with Faryl Smith (ex-X Factor) singing her lungs out during two spots.
And, if that wasn’t enough culture for one weekend, we headed off to Stratford-upon-Avon to see Second Thoughts production of ‘A Man for All Seasons’ – powerful stuff! Over the years, we’ve seen this Am-Dram group consistently punch above its weight in acting quality and production values, and tonight was no exception (including our friend Ian). Superb – we’re big fans!

It was a long production, and we didn’t leave until 10.45pm. The weather was still awful outside (anyone got an ark???), and it slowed the journey down towards home. it was all worth it though – a fantastic day!!!!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
