It’s that time of year again when we celebrate Paul and Julie’s Birthday’s. Ann wasn’t feeling too well, so I went on my own. Karen, Paul, Debbie, Stefan, Bobby, John, Trish, Tom and Julie – the usual crew all turned-out.
It kicked off at Karen’s for drinks around 7.30, then we planned to take a taxi to The Olde Victoria Pub/Restaurant in Burton Latimer. However, Julie and Tom had travelled there separately and found the whole place locked-up! Apparently, they forgot to re-apply for their Licence. So, after a bit of confusion, we all ended up in the Bar just down the road from Kushboo. After a few pints and lots of chat, we headed for Kushboo at a round 9.30. Service was excellent and so was the food. And, it was really busy given that we’re all supposed to be in a recession! Personally, I think the food and service has improved dramatically since we first went there.
Bobby had left earlier than the rest of us as we was up early the next day and the rest of us finished there about midnight and got a taxi back to Paul and Karen’s. I was knackered and so I said good-bye to everyone and headed for bed. Ann was feeling a lot better!

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
