We’re off to Lincoln today to catch-up with Denis and Mae. The day started cold but then the snow came, albeit not much, but the forecast looks worse. As I write this it’s still -1 degrees outside but we now have freezing rain as well – lovely (not!)
The weather started to clear up and we had a good journey up there – one hour twenty minutes.
It was good to see Denis and Mae. We haven’t been to theirs for quite a while.
Full roast for lunch – a nice piece of Lamb followed by Apple Crumble and Mae’s unrivalled home-made Christmas Pudding. It was excellent food and well-worth the wait (we didn’t eat until 2.15 and by that time we were both starving!!!)
Bev was there and introduced us to her work colleague – Di(ana).
We left about 3.45 and got home at 5.15. A good run back too. It gave me chance to push the Mondeo a bit – it was great round the twisty bends – and it still returned 39mpg.
After five years, we finally won something on the lottery! Three numbers, that’s 10 quid – result!!
..and we nearly didn’t bother to check the numbers!!!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
