Moussaka followed by white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake – I was forced to bring some back with me… 🙂 It was …

Serious PC problem
Well, I certainly seem to be having my fair share of PC problems just lately! This is an unusual one. I realised last Friday that I couldn’t get access to the Windows Update page. Perhaps more importantly one of my web-menu design programs – AllWebMenusPro by Likno – just wouldn’t load or save any files! …

Ann not well
Ever since Ann fainted at work on the 2nd August, she’s been getting pains in her stomach every so often. She’s now seen a specialist who says there’s nothing showing up on the ultra-sound. An x-ray is next, but we don’t think that’ll show anything. The advice she’s been given, is to get to the …

Sad News
We heard today that Doreen – Peter J’s wife passed away. She had been poorly for some time and was backwards and forwards on a regular basis to the hospital forblood tranfusions. A few weeks back, she tumbled down the stairs and was of course, rushed to hospital. She seemed to be doing OK, but …

A productive day!
Ann spent most of the day cooking whilst I continued writing the Christmas cards. Lots of great food for the coming week plus, between us, we’ve written about 250 cards so that only leaves around 50 to do!
Christmas and Chips!
Strange title huh? I’m slightly embarassed to say that we started on the Christmas cards today simply because of my workload closer to Christmas and that we’re away on holiday during the time when we normally write them. The upgrade chips arrived for my NoteBook. Not sure whether it’s much faster and the Vista ‘score’ …

Cats in for a brush
We took the cats in for a brush today. Strangely, both were were even more unhappy about going in the cat box than normal. Biscuit even took a swipe at Ann, whilst Bon-Bon did that ‘growling thing’ she does when she’s pissed-off.

Added the last few programs to the Laptop. Job done!!!! If anything, it’s slightly faster than before the crash! I’ve also tweaked the backup strategy to include more stuff from the Laptop. I gave both cars a really good wash and clean out today, whilst Ann spent most of the day cooking. Ann managed to …

Car through MOT/LapTop reinstall continues…
Well that’s good news! Ann’s car got through the MOT – not bad for a 105,000-mile Mondeo!!! I continued to reinstall everything back onto the Laptop. I reckon I’ll finish it by today, although I did have to cancel my visit to Jackie’s to give me more time to focus on the PC. Other than …

Bad technology day
Bugger! For some unknown reason, the laptop started to behave strangely today. The hard disk light just kept flashing and nothing would load. In spite of a lot of help from Dell, we had to return it to ‘factory settings’. So, I spent most of the day re-installing stuff. Looks like it’s going to take …
