A bit of a lie-in with both of not up until 7.30! We then had breakfast. Ann managed poached egg on toast, whilst I opted for the full-English!
On Ian’s advice we took a drive to Petworth House – around a thirty minute drive from the Guest-House
It was a grand place, hundreds of paintings and a room full of sculptures. The tunnels underneath the house were open today – but from 1 p.m. which was a bit late for us.
After the visit, we drove back to Worthing and took a closer look round the shops (having found an ideal car-park round the back of T K Maxx.
We arrived back at the Guest House around 3.30 knackered!!
Ian and Sharon arranged a table at a good Chinese Restaurant called ‘The China Palace’ in Chapel Road for later on this evening. They picked us up at 6.30. The food was excellent – all you can eat for less than £15!! The service went downhill a while later, we think, because they got so busy. We cancelled the main course mainly because we waited so long. In truth, only Ian and I went for the main course and we were already stuffed!
We left at around 9pm, said our good-byes to Ian and Sharon and headed for bed!!!!
We’re leaving after breakfast tomorrow, picking Mum up along the way and heading for home…
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
