We’re off to one of our top-three eateries around these parts – The George in Great Oxendon.

This was our fourth visit here, having been introduced to it by Paul & Sue back in November, 2021.
Today, it was our three-monthly catchup with Ian & Ann and Alan & Mags.

We arrived in good time but our friends did better and were already seated when we were shown to our table. The restaurant was enjoying almost a full house, but in spite of how busy they were, we were soon looking through the Menu and making our choices.

Based on past experiences here, I think we could have chosen pretty much anything from the Menu and we wouldn’t have been disappointed. And we weren’t! Everyone agreed that our individual choices had tasted delicious and the service was timely and professional.

We were all pleasantly full (even me!) and we therefore resisted the temptation of a Dessert (as yummy as they all looked!) and finished with tea and coffee. So, all-in-all, another GREAT experience at The George where we’ve decided that this will become THE place to eat when we’re all this way again for a catch-up.
We agreed the date and location of our next get-together – The Bell in Alderminster – and reluctantly, said our goodbyes.
Thanks ‘George’, you did us proud!!! (again!) 👍 😋

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
