I took Bon-Bon to the Vet’s today. We discovered a small lump on her right shoulder, that initially started off as a wound. When it healed up, the lump was still there. So, I dropped her off at 9.00. At 2pm the Vets said she was ‘OK’ and we could pick her up at 4.30.

Cat on Lap!
Well that’s a surprise. Bon-Bon jumped up onto the settee and then snuggled down on my lap – that’s a first! We would have thought that Biscuit would have been the one to do this as she’s been on my lap before…
Holiday – Peasenhall, Suffolk – Day 4
Another lazy lie-in. Nice! Lee wasn’t feeling 100%, so Ann and I went exploring together. Weather-wise, it started warm, but got colder as the morning progressed. First stop, Saxmundham. A bit of a half-horse town. We parked in the Somerfield car-park and looked around the Church – St John’s – mentioned in the Doomsday Book. …

Holiday – Peasenhall, Suffolk – Day 3
We had a lazy lie in until 7.45! That’s unheard for us two! A quick look out of the window revealed a very wet day ahead. Maybe::: A civilised breakfast of cereals, toast and coffee set us up for the day. The weather brightened up considerably, so we decided to drive to Southwold. It’s a …

Holiday – Peasenhall, Suffolk – Day 2
We both slept very well. Sometimes a change of location does that for us. I think we might have slept for longer, but we were all a little concerned about the heating and whether it be working when we woke up – luckily it was! We were both up around 7.30 – which is a …

Holiday – Peasenhall, Suffolk – Day 1
We left around 10.45 heading for L and B’s to pick them up. It was a slow journey over there and we didn’t arrive until 1.30. A great lunch from Lee – Bacon and fried potatoes with cauliflower cheese. After coffee we tidied up and left around 3 o’clock heading for the holiday cottage. We …

A patter of tiny ink-tanks!/Meal with David and Val
I managed to purchase a Canon Pixma 5200 from Amazon for less that 40 quid! OK it’s a discontinued model, but its print quality and speed is excellent! Perfect for Ann’s office downstairs. This means that she’ll be able to print stuff without having to go upstairs to retrieve the document (that’s where the other …

AGM for The Old Croydonians
Off to the AGM for The Old Croydonians today as well as catching up with Mum in Bromley. Ann should have accompanied me, but the specialist she’s been seeing for her tummy pains rang to say he wanted to see her. The only day was today at 9.30. Fortunately, the Specialist said that the tests …

New carpets
Our carpets that we ordered from John Lewis came today came today. Steve and Jaimie did a great job at fitting them and it took them from 9am until almost 3pm to finish the job. The beige carpets have served us well – 11 years! But what with the human traffic and muddy paws from …

Route(r) 66
Well it’s Router 546(i) v6 actually, but that wouldn’t have worked as a headline would it? 🙂 My ISP Demon wrote to me and offered to reduce my internet bill by £2 a month – and offered me a new router for just over £20. It arrived today and after a small problem with the …

Serious PC problem
Well, I certainly seem to be having my fair share of PC problems just lately! This is an unusual one. I realised last Friday that I couldn’t get access to the Windows Update page. Ann not well
Ever since Ann fainted at work on the 2nd August, she’s been getting pains in her stomach every so often. She’s now seen a specialist who says there’s nothing showing up on the ultra-sound. An x-ray is next, but we don’t think that’ll show anything. The advice she’s been given, is to get to the …

Sad News
We heard today that Doreen – Peter J’s wife passed away. She had been poorly for some time and was backwards and forwards on a regular basis to the hospital forblood tranfusions. A few weeks back, she tumbled down the stairs and was of course, rushed to hospital. She seemed to be doing OK, but …

Christmas and Chips!
Strange title huh? I’m slightly embarassed to say that we started on the Christmas cards today simply because of my workload closer to Christmas and that we’re away on holiday during the time when we normally write them. The upgrade chips arrived for my NoteBook. Not sure whether it’s much faster and the Vista ‘score’ …
