We left around 10.45 heading for L and B’s to pick them up. It was a slow journey over there and we didn’t arrive until 1.30. A great lunch from Lee – Bacon and fried potatoes with cauliflower cheese.
After coffee we tidied up and left around 3 o’clock heading for the holiday cottage.
We arrived around 5ish. It was b***** freezing in the cottage when we got there. Most of the storage heaters are freezing cold.
We popped to the local village shop to pick up firelighters, kindling, matches and a lighter. When we got back we found a cupboard containing err, firelighters, kindling and matches! As I write this at 8.30, we’re all toasty-warm but it took some time to master lighting the open fire.
Ann and Lee prepared a buffet of fruit, cheese and nibbles. Excellent!
We all spent the rest of the evening reading.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is atrocious, so I’m not sure we’ll be doing. Fixing the storage radiators??? 🙂

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
