Today was a very enjoyable catch-up with long-time friends Mick & Jane.

Ann took on cooking duties at ours. According to this Blog, the last time we did this was back in August 2006! – in between times we’ve met numerous times at Pubs and Restaurants roughly halfway between us, but cooking at home for them made today feel extra special!

On the menu today – Slow Cooked Beef Short Ribs, one of those dishes that when cooked properly (it was!) requires NO teeth (we have!) 😁. Everyone’s plate was like mine, so that was a good sign! We sat down around 1pm and were soon chatting about M&J’s recent trip to Oz – sounds like they had a great time!

For Dessert, there was a choice: Lemon Soufflé and/or Apricot Croissant Pudding. Again, all super yummy and in spite of the and/or option, we couldn’t manage seconds! 😲. Coffee followed where Ann and Jane discussed holidays whilst Mick and I compared electricity consumption (Honestly, we’re really good fun at parties!!!) 😉😁. The time flew, as it often does with good friends, and we said our goodbyes just before 3.30.
Great to catch up again with a friendship that goes back some 30 years! 💞

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
