You wait for ages for a great eatery to come along and then… (well, you know the rest!)
Not content with discovering the Beckworth Emporium on our doorstep last week – tonight, we discovered another local gem.
We met up with our friends, Paul and Sue at The Hare in the nearby village, Loddington. They looked after us like we were royalty and the food range and quality punched well above its furry weight. Portion-size was massive (my meat dish could have fed two!), and the vegetable side-orders jostled for space for space on our table!
All that, and a really cosy pub/restaurant atmosphere too, what else could they do to make us smile? The trump card was the price. We had starters, mains and two desserts between the four-of-us, plus drinks all-round a couple of times – the total, less than £90!
A brilliant experience – we’re definitely going back soon!!!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
