We travelled over to Ian and Ann’s for a social get-together. We don’t see them often enough, and it was good to catch-up with all their news.
Ian was the chef for the evening and we enjoyed home-made potato and leek soup, chicken casserole and lemon cheesecake to finish. Super scrummy!
Caroline and Dermot popped round – we haven’t seen them for ages. They were picking up Alice and all popped back later in the evening. I don’t think we’ve seen them all together like this since C and D’s Wedding – time flies!!!
After the meal, we spent time talking about the wonders of Oz (we really must go there!) and other places we’d all visited. It was great just chilling-out!!!
We left about 10.15 and got home around 11.30 – a slightly longer trip because of the A14 (still) being closed for resurfacing.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
