Everyone was up a little earlier than planned mainly due to me getting Lee’s ‘mayday’ call just before 7am and then heading for her place. By the time I got back, Ann was already preparing the ‘breakfast feast’ – a Full English!
We sat down around 9.30 and tucked-in. By the time we finished the food (and the gossip!), it was almost midday. So, we said our good-byes and Johnny and Mel headed home – hopefully a better, shorter journey going back than coming!!
Ralph rang to confirm he’ll be with us tomorrow to sort out the shower-room – it’ll be good to catch-up with him, and we’ve got loads to chat about. Then Lee called, feeling much better than she’d had been earlier. Ann picked her up and we had a late-lunch at ours. it was good to see her looking so much better.
I think my ‘unscheduled’ journey to Lee’s early this morning, started to catch-up with me and by 2pm, I was feeling (strangely!) shattered.
Ann and Lee went out looking for carpets (for our dining-room), whilst I snooooozed. Their first stop was the big Co-op – unfortunately, it was closed – permanently!!! We’ve heard it’s going to be an ASDA. Still, they were able to get a sample elsewhere – blue is the colour, we just need to sort out a date.
David and Val popped round to look at some details Ann had sorted out for our weekend away in Bury-St-Edmunds in September – We had tea and cake outside and caught the last of the sunshine for the weekend.
Ann took Lee back just after 7pm and we chilled-out watching TV for the rest of the evening. I’ll probably get an early night in as I have to be in Canterbury, or work, by 8.30 tomorrow morning.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
