Morning all! 👍😀
It’s our last full day here at Church Farm Holiday Park – just a few hundred metres away from the beach at Aldeburgh, Suffolk.
9.05am: Holy Moly! It’s NOT raining! That’s two days in a row! 😉. Cancel my Amazon Prime order for the Ark Building Kit!!!
Wet, Wet, Wet!
I feel it in my fingers…
Day 1: Quite wet
Arrival (Last Thursday)
Day 2: Very wet
Aldeburgh (Friday)
Day 3: Even wetter
Southwold (New Year’s Eve)
Day 4: Confused! Dry until 6pm
Sutton Hoo (Yesterday, New Year’s Day)
Strange yellow thing spotted in the sky!

Typical, isn’t it? Our last day and the weather is starting to improve! If the forecast is to be believed, we’ll be basking in a sizzling 8℃ by lunchtime today! Jo, Janet & Carol are leaving a little later, and so we plan to do a little more exploring of the local area, and top up our tan (tan? it’s actually rust!) 😁
What a Difference a Day Makes
11.36am: We headed off in the direction of Aldeburgh Beach and with the Sun out, it took on a whole new persona! Being a Bank Holiday, the area was still mobbed – and parking would have been ‘mission impossible’, but everywhere seemed much more attractive! 👍😀

12.55pm: Well, that was VERY pleasant!

That was our final walk of this break, and it was good that we were able to do it all in the dry!

It’s been a great few days away. OK, the weather could have been kinder (especially during the early part) but we’ve eaten a lot, drunk a lot, seen a lot, walked a lot and laughed a lot! And that sounds perfect to me! We’re going to get packed this afternoon and leave sharp tomorrow, just after the local ‘rush hour’ ends.

There are just a few odds and ends of food to finish up – but we’ll do our best! 😋😋
Toodle Pip Readers! 👍😉

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
