Children-in-Need Weekend – Day 2

Reading time: < 1 minute...

CiN-3-blog We awoke to a dry but breezy day and were both up by 7.15. It’s sausage and/or bacon sandwiches for breakfast.

We were all sitting down and eating by 9.15 – by 10.30, we were ready for the traditional ‘yomp’ to the beach and back and then to ‘The Crown’ Public House. The walk on the beach was beautiful – warmer than last year and hardly any breeze at all. We got back from the beach around 12ish and took the car to the Pub. We all had something light to eat and left around 2.30 in order to get a couple of hours shut-eye before the main event tonight.

CiN2008-2-blog We were both ready by 6.30 – all dressed up in out 70s gear. Initially, no-one else was…which surprised us. However, after a while everyone slipped into something very 70s and the evening got off to a great start and our Abba Quiz seemed to go down well!

By 10.30 we’d eaten all we were going to eat and drank all we were going to drink. We crashed out around 11pm, whilst a few others danced into the small hours to music from the 70s.

All-in-all, we had a great time! Breakfast is at 9.30 (thank goodness!)
