We awoke to a dry but breezy day and were both up by 7.15. It’s sausage and/or bacon sandwiches for breakfast.
We were all sitting down and eating by 9.15 – by 10.30, we were ready for the traditional ‘yomp’ to the beach and back and then to ‘The Crown’ Public House. The walk on the beach was beautiful – warmer than last year and hardly any breeze at all. We got back from the beach around 12ish and took the car to the Pub. We all had something light to eat and left around 2.30 in order to get a couple of hours shut-eye before the main event tonight.
We were both ready by 6.30 – all dressed up in out 70s gear. Initially, no-one else was…which surprised us. However, after a while everyone slipped into something very 70s and the evening got off to a great start and our Abba Quiz seemed to go down well!
By 10.30 we’d eaten all we were going to eat and drank all we were going to drink. We crashed out around 11pm, whilst a few others danced into the small hours to music from the 70s.
All-in-all, we had a great time! Breakfast is at 9.30 (thank goodness!)

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
