We both slept well judging by the fact we didn’t wake-up until 8am.
The weather forecast is for a hot day, so we plan to take the train to Toulouse after breakfast.
Well, after taking a drive to the nearest Stations, we discovered that the Sunday service was pretty infrequent, so we decided to drive to ‘Agen’ instead. After parking in the town, we looked round the town museum (mostly Roman stuff and paintings) and after a coffee we jumped in the car and headed for ‘Lauzerte’ – about a 45 minute drive away.
Wow! What a lovely town. Beautiful views (as it was so high up). We had some snacks and another coffee at around 2.30.
We then headed back via a shortcut and got in by 4pm.
Feet up and time to catch up with our reading and podcasts as it was looking a bit grey outside.
We both had a short nap and then got ready for Dinner. We had a drink on the terrace – it’s a clear blue sky, even at 7.15 – and then went to the restaurant. We were first in, but not long after, the place was almost at capacity with three other couples – one French and two British, so it’s certainly an intimate environment!
A great meal (again!) – finished off with coffees… and then off outside to try and track down the elusive mobile-signal! And then, off to bed.
The town of Montauban tomorrow!

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
