We didn't get up until 9am!!
So, after a slow getting-ready process (in spite of a lay-in, I felt shattered…drugged almost!), we planned our day.
We decided to visit a number of Museums within walking distance of the Apartments. We also wandered along the 'Royal Mile'. This was full a number highly colourful characters (literally!) because the Fringe – live statues, people on stilts, people as animals to name but a few.
On the way back, we dropped into Jenner's the department store..and then back to the apartment to put our feet up.
No such luck as our room hadn't been serviced. Bugger! We chased housekeeping and an hour later, we were sorted!!
We then watched a bit of the Olympics opening ceremony on the TV.
We went to the 9pm performance of the Tattoo tonight – it was excellent! Very varied and great lighting and sound. We got back around 11.15.

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
