A frighteningly early start! Up at 2.30am in order to leave for the airport at 3.30!
A short 30-minute drive to the airport. After a lengthy check-in, we headed for the ‘VIP Lounge’ and waited for the flight.
We took off a little late and arrived in Brazil around 11ish (allowing for the one-hour difference).
Then after a long delay of an hour or so whilst we waited for some late passengers who’d lost their luggage, we eventually board the coach for our two-hour journey.
We arrived at the cruise terminal in Santos at 2.30pm. There were zillions of passengers queuing for checking-in. It was hot, noisy and a long queue awaited us!
We finally checked in. Some 45 minutes later! Initial impressions of the room is disappointing. No fridge and they hadn’t responded to our request for a double-bed. It’s a really pokey room! The afternoon buffet resembled a rugby scrum and it looks as if they’ve changed the time of the second-sitting dinner for us to 10pm!
16.30 So, we’re off to explore the ship and resolve some of the issues.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
