Up at 6.15 to a beautiful sunrise. We got up early to ensure we had enough time to finish packing and to cram it all in as we’re definitely leaving with more stuff than we arrived with!
Breakfast at 7.15. Slightly chaotic as 95% of passengers all seemed to be taking breakfast at the same time.
Bye-Bye then to suite 857…
7.45. We now wait on-board for our colour to be called, (blue) and then we can disembark to our hotel. We’re told we’ll be off by 8.35.
8.40. Looks like they’re running late
8.55. We’re off!
10.15 Arrive at ‘Le Meridien’ hotel in Nice. The good news? The weather is hot. The bad news? The room won’t be ready for four hours! The ‘stoopid’ news? The classy hotel has a McDonalds next door!
Time to kill around the town then…
11.45. Bought a couple of baguettes and had lunch sat facing the rather stony beach of Nice – ouch!
12.45 Stopped off for coffee before checking in.
13.10. We managed to check in early! Room 738 with a separate LARGE balcony Very nice!!
14.25 Luggage finally arrives in our room after five phone calls to Reception and a personal call to the duty manager.
15.00. Time for some shut-eye before finding a restaurant tonight
17.30 Ready to ‘paint the town red’
Last full day of the holiday in Nice tomorrow…
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
