We left early this morning and headed north. Rain rain rain! Stopped off at Parthenay, the village that time forgot! Everything closed, no-one around, maybe because it was Monday!
Then onto Montreuil-Bellay, time for a croque monsieur created by an old crock of a monsieur!
Finally onto Saumur, where the castle was closed for lunch!!
Then after a lot driving around minor roads we arrived at our next destination, hosted by Jacque and Yannick. A couple of really nice guys. We’re here for two days and then off to Normandie
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community.
