Ralph’s progress

Reading time: < 1 minute...

We spent the weekend with Ralph and Karen.

Ralph has made fantastic progress, since the diagnosis that he had throat cancer. The subsequent operation was a complete success. His only concern? That when they grafted part of his arm onto his throat as part of the reconstruction surgery, he now has a hairy throat whilst the new tissue ‘settles in’.

He’s so positive about things, and very matter-of-fact about the whole experience. Given that he’s never smoked, and doesn’t drink heavily, I’m sure he’d have every right to be playing the ‘why me?’ tape! – I’m a worse patient when I’ve got a simple cold!

Makes you think doesn’t it..? and put things in perspective!

Radio therapy now follows on 11 July.

Good luck Ralph!!
