We went to see ‘Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith’ Fantastic special effects, but over-long, a poor script and wooden acting (sorry George!)

Off to our neighbours, Karen and Paul for a SUPERB Lamb Dinner. Rosi, David Rhiannon, Stefan and Debbie were also there – it was great to catch up with everybody – feels like we haven’t seen them for years!

Well, we finally got to sign off the project today! Phew it was a toughy! I couldn’t have done without the team, Denise, Ian H, Ian McL and Dave! Thanks everyone!!! We all went for a meal at Market Harborough – Han, a Chinese restaurant Excellent food as always…

Mae and Denis visited us for lunch today. Good to see them both…

Last full day at the hotel today… Last night’s ‘Sardinian Feast’ was exactly that! More suckling pigs than you could shake a Sardinian shepherd at! Decided to do more of the North-east coast today. Back to Palau today – such a nice town. The La Coluccia hotel needs to buck its ideas up! Breakfast was a disaster! Almost English in its level of customer service and organisation. i.e. None!! Crap variety at breakfast. Off to Heacham this weekend with Jo and Janet. On the way there, we’re going to pop in and see the kittens! Stopped off at the Sandringham Craft Fair – very nice and scorching hot day too! Back Monday…

Met up with the gang, Rick A, Paul M, Antoinette, Angela, Carey and Juneat Tas in the Cut, London. Boy, does that place get busy! But the food is a good as ever!!!!

Off to York for our normal dose of retail therapy! Then to Nunnington Hall (National Trust) …and then, finally, to ‘The White Swan’ in Amblethorpe for our last meal before returning home

Off to Scarborough Castle and Whitby Abbey. Then, to The Magpie Café in Whitby for a superb fish lunch. We only had to queue for 25 minutes to get in – a popular plaice! (arf arf!) Then we stopped off in Pickering, a quaint village with lots of nice shops. Also visited Pickering Castle.

Left High Wray Farm today and headed for our second Farm ‘Carr House’. Stopped off at Betty’s Tea Rooms in Northallerton along the way, for a scrummy lunch! Also visited Helmsley Castle and Riveaulx Castle

Off to Kendal for some retail therapy. Just as well, as I managed to leave all my camera’s memory cards at home. Then, off to ‘Lucy’s’ in Ambleside. A deli-cum-winebar-cum-restaurant. Wow!
