Short Break – Day Three
Cor, what a scorcher! Very, very hot today. We started off by visiting Norfolk Lavender and then went onto Holkham. Finally onto Welles and a postcard-perfect seaside town. Bright blue sky, a sea breeze and lots of ‘sea-sidey’ type shops – Fifty eight different types of bucket and spade sets plus an even greater selection …

Round to Tom and Julie’s for a mega-BBQ and to watch the England match on their new 37 inch Plasma TV. Food was excellent, so was the TV… Pity about England’s performance. We won (1-0), but what a lack-lustre performance by our national side!

Picked Mum up early this morning to spend a week with us next week. Round to Deb and Stefan’s to once again sample some excellent cuisine – Nice BBQed lamb!!! (amongst other great stuff)
TGI Blog
Met up with Ian and Mags for a meal at TGI Friday’s in Coventry. Cripes, was it busy or what? Food was OK-ish. The electronic ordering system was down and the Waiters were in a state of permanent panic. Cold chips and a warm salad – nice!

Biscuit and Bon Bon – 1 year on…
It just doesn’t seem like the cats have been with us for a whole year. It’s passed really quickly. We’ve always felt that cats’ behaviour changes in LARGE steps rather than gradually. For instance, Bon Bon now rolls on her back quite regularly but up until a few week’s ago, that’s something that she would …

Lawn Mower
The new petrol lawn mower arrived! Hurrah!!! I quickly assembled it and filled it up with oil – that’s good! 👍 Err, …in the PETROL tank – that’s bad! 😟😟😟 Luckily, I found a local company to fix it. I’ll take it down there tomorrow as it’s too big to fit the boot in the …

Clean Cats – Second Visit
Took the pussies back to the cat grooming place in Brigstock for their second wash-and-brush-up. See HERE for their first visit. Apparently they were quite aggressive whilst being washed and combed out (they hate it – that’s why WE don’t do it!)

Ann’s friend Nicki came to see us today. Great to see her, as always – and her chocolate brownies always get a great reception!

Bashed Jaguar Blog
OUCH! The Jaguar got hit by a car on the A4 roundabout where it joins the M4. Looks like the third party was in the left-hand lane going right! – across in front of me!!! More-or-less the whole of the passenger site has a scrape on it and it looks like it’ll be ‘away’ for …
